While many English Premier League clubs will take the chance of a mid-season break to head to sunnier climes with the promise of relaxation and recuperation, Southampton have gone for a different tact in travelling to Switzerland.
Not only have Southampton opted for snowy weather, but rather than relax ahead of a gruelling season run-in, they have swapped their football boots for ice skates and hockey sticks.
In this video, filmed by Southampton’s media team, the players can be seen trying out ice hockey, with hilarious results.
With Southampton flying this season and in the running for a place in Europe, we recommend they stick to the day job!
