The National's Sport cover for the Saturday, August 22 issue, featuring Usain Bolt on the eve of the 2015 Athletics World Championships in Beijing.

The long-awaited biennial event will finally give observers a glimpse at Bolt ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics. Bolt, who has battled slumps in form and small injuries for months, will be tested by American Justin Gatlin, in some of the best form of his career after returning from a doping suspension in 2010.

"Competition is competition. It's always about who's in the best form and executes," Bolt said.

“Rules are the rules, he’s served his ban and he can compete. I’m not worried. I never look at statistics. It’s track and field — you never know what’s going to happen.”

The 100-metres heats will be ran on Saturday at Beijing's Bird's Nest National Stadium, before a Sunday showcase for the semi-finals and final.
