Aidan O'Brien's sole representative is Imperial Monarch, who endured a troubled passage in the Prix du Jockey-Club when last seen. Trained by Andre Fabre for Godolphin, Saint Baudolino was a narrow second in the Jockey Club but he will not be joined in the race by stablemate Masterstoke who will not compete in the mile-and-a-half contest. Last Train, Hard Dream, Sir Jade and Albion complete the septet.
On the same card, Fame And Glory and Brown Panther, owned by the footballer Michael Owen, have been taken out of the Prix Maurice de Nieuil.
Meanwhile, Godolphin's Coral-Eclipse runner-up, Farhh, is one of four entries from the Dubai-based operation in the Group 2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood on August 25.
John Gosden believes Fabre's Golden Lilac will be near-enough unbeatable for his runners in Friday's Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket.
Gosden is committing Elusive Kate and Windsor Forest Stakes winner Joviality for the Group One heat, while another Royal Ascot star, Fallen For You, looks less likely to take part due to ground conditions.
However, the trainer is expecting Golden Lilac to prove a huge obstacle.

La Mer lowdown
La Mer beach is open from 10am until midnight, daily, and is located in Jumeirah 1, well after Kite Beach. Some restaurants, like Cupagahwa, are open from 8am for breakfast; most others start at noon. At the time of writing, we noticed that signs for Vicolo, an Italian eatery, and Kaftan, a Turkish restaurant, indicated that these two restaurants will be open soon, most likely this month. Parking is available, as well as a Dh100 all-day valet option or a Dh50 valet service if you’re just stopping by for a few hours.
