Pakistan take on Nepal cricket team at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi — in pictures



A skeleton fleet of taxis might have been in operation in Abu Dhabi for much of yesterday, as a set of passionate cricket supporters decided to forgo their fares to watch Nepal play Pakistan instead. Cricket has a burgeoning following in the Himalayan kingdom, and their national team acquitted themselves ably in their first 50 over match against one of cricket’s established elite. Pakistan eventually won by 121 runs, as Azhar Ali and Shoaib Malik posted half-centuries, in preparation for the limited overs series against England.
