Khabib Nurmagomedov was cage-side to see cousin Umar make a stunning UFC debut at Wednesday's Fight Night in Abu Dhabi.

Umar, 25, impressed early on at UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs Magny, seeing off Sergey Morozov by second-round submission in their bantamweight bout to extend his unbeaten record in mixed martial arts to 13 wins.

Khabib, widely regarded as the outstanding athlete in UFC history, gave Umar a mark of "4 out of 5" for his impressive display in the post-fight press conference.

He remained tightlipped, however, when pressed by our reporter on whether he will return to the octagon.

The UFC lightweight champion called time on his career following a stunning victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi in October to move to 29-0.

The Russian has continually been linked with a return to UFC since, with a rematch against Conor McGregor heavily touted.
