UAE Tour 2019: Stage guide for inaugural UCI World Tour race - in pictures

The seven-stage tour covers 1,090km and will take in all the emirates, starting in Abu Dhabi on Sunday and ending in Dubai on March 2

• 

  Stage 1 (16km): Adnoc Team Time Trial - starting and finishing at Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi

• 

  Stage 2 (184km): Abu Dhabi Stage - sprint stage starting at Yas Island, ending at Abu Dhabi Big Flag

• 

  Stage 3 (179km): Year of Tolerance Stage - mountain stage starting at UAE University, ending at Jebel Hafeet

• 

  Stage 4 (205km): Dubai Municipality Stage - medium mountain stage starting at Palm Jumeirah, ending at Hatta Dam

• 

  Stage 5 (181km): Sharjah Stage - sprint stage starting at Flag Island, ending at Khor Fakkan

• 

  Stage 6 (180km): RAK Properties Stage - mountain stage starting in Ajman, ending at Jebel Jais

• 

  Stage 7 (145km): Dubai Stage - sprint stage starting at Dubai Safari Park, ending at City Walk

The inaugural UAE Tour begins on Sunday as the world's best riders compete in the Middle East's only UCI World Tour.

The seven-stage race will cover 1,090 kilometres and take in all seven emirates, beginning in Abu Dhabi and ending in Dubai on March 2.

There will be one team time trial, three sprint stages, two mountain stages, and one medium mountain stage.
