Sebastien Loeb won two of the three special stages on the Rally of Catalunya, the penultimate event of the World Rally Championship, to take control of the race yesterday.
Loeb, in a Citroen C4, is already assured of a seventh world title. BP Ford Abu Dhabi’s Jari-Matti Latvala, Mikko Hirvonen and the UAE’s Sheikh Khalid al Qassimi were third, fourth and 12th.
Kimi Raikkonen did not race after rolling his Citroen beyond repair during the shakedown on Thursday.
