CHELSEA 2 BRADFORD 4

Bradford brilliantly responded from two goals down to win 4-2 at Chelsea and dump the Premier League leaders out of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.

League One City, who were 2-0 down after 38 minutes, claimed the biggest scalp of their recent giant-killing exploits to advance to the fifth round and end Chelsea’s hopes of challenging for an unprecedented quadruple.

Chelsea reject Filipe Morais levelled the fourth-round tie with 15 minutes to go before Jon Stead, the scorer of City’s first, teed up Andy Halliday for the winner eight minutes from time.

And substitute Mark Yeates tucked in a stoppage-time fourth to inflict the Blues’ first home loss this season and spark jubilant celebrations from Phil Parkinson’s visitors.

MANCHESTER CITY 0 MIDDLESBROUGH 2

Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford and Kike struck in the second half as Championship side Middlesbrough produced a shock 2-0 win over Premier League champions Manchester City in the FA Cup.

England Under-21 international Bamford pounced on a defensive misunderstanding early in the second half and substitute Kike settled a thrilling fourth-round tie in injury time at the Etihad Stadium.

City dominated the first half but were denied repeatedly by Boro’s former Real Madrid goalkeeper Tomas Mejias and their luck seemed out when Frank Lampard’s deflected 89th-minute shot hit the post.

Had that gone in they might have snatched a replay but Kike stunned them in the closing moments.

TOTTENHAM 1 LEICESTER 2

Leicester came from behind to net a stoppage-time winner from Jeff Schlupp which beat Tottenham 2-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup at White Hart Lane.

After a good start from the Foxes, who forced a couple of fine saves from Michel Vorm, Spurs went ahead from the penalty spot after 19 minutes through Andros Townsend.

Leicester’s frustration grew as they were denied what looked a clear penalty before half-time, with new signing Andrej Kramaric instead booked for diving, but their industry was rewarded with seven minutes left when Leonardo Ulloa swept the ball into the bottom corner.

BLACKBURN 3 SWANSEA 1

Rudy Gestede and Craig Conway scored the decisive goals as second-tier Blackburn Rovers dumped nine-man Swansea City out of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win on Saturday.

Swansea had Kyle Bartley sent off in the sixth minute for impeding Josh King, only for them to take the lead in the 21st minute when Gylfi Sigurdsson found the top-left corner from 30 yards.

But Chris Taylor hooked in an equaliser two minutes later before substitute Gestede and Conway struck in the second half, the latter finding the net with a shot that squirmed beneath Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

BIRMINGHAM CITY 1 WEST BROM 2

Victor Anichebe’s quickfire brace edged West Brom into the FA Cup fifth round as they survived a scare to beat Birmingham 2-1.

After his first-half double, the striker has now scored three goals in four games since Tony Pulis took over at The Hawthorns.

Jonathan Grounds pulled a goal back just before the break but bullish Birmingham could not force a replay against their local rivals.

LIVERPOOL 0 BOLTON 0

Liverpool, in eighth, were held to a goalless draw by Championship side Bolton Wanderers at Anfield and, with West Ham, Arsenal and Stoke yet to play, no side from the top half of the Premier League table has a guaranteed spot in the fifth round.

CARDIFF CITY 1 READING 2

Hal Robson-Kanu booked Reading’s place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a late winner in a 2-1 victory at Cardiff.

Wales international Robson-Kanu, on as an 82nd minute substitute, swept home Jordan Obita’s cross six minutes later after Oliver Norwood had cancelled out Kenwyne Jones’ first-half header for the Bluebirds.

DERBY 2 CHESTERFIELD 0

Darren Bent scored his first goal for Derby but the Championship promotion chasers were given a real scare by League One Chesterfield before they won a pulsating FA Cup fourth-round tie 2-0 at the iPro Stadium.

Bent headed in from close range in the first half but Chesterfield dominated possession for long periods and wasted good chances before Will Hughes sealed victory with a late solo effort.

PRESTON 1 SHEFFIELD UTD 1

Diego De Girolamo scored his first goal for Sheffield United as last season’s FA Cup semi-finalists earned a fourth-round replay with a 1-1 draw at Deepdale.

Preston began the brighter and Paul Gallagher opened the scoring on 19 minutes but Italy under-20 international De Girolamo struck midway through the second half for the Blades.

SOUTHAMPTON 2 CRYSTAL PALACE 3

Marouane Chamakh scored two goals on his return to action as Crystal Palace twice came from behind to knock Premier League rivals Southampton out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 fourth-round win at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Victory saw Palace make it four wins in a row in all competitions since manager Alan Pardew arrived from Newcastle to take charge of the south London club.

All five goals came in a see-saw first half, with four in 21 minutes leaving the match all square at 2-2 before Morocco striker Chamakh, back from six weeks out with a hamstring injury, grabbed his second of the game to make it 3-2 to visitors Palace.

SUNDERLAND 0 FULHAM 0

Substitute Hugo Rodallega was denied an FA Cup giant-killing act by a post as Championship Fulham very nearly shocked 10-man Premier League outfit Sunderland.

The Colombia international blasted against the woodwork as time ran down with the Black Cats, who played the final 24 minutes without midfielder Jack Rodwell after he was dismissed for a second bookable offence, teetering on the brink.

Until that point, the Black Cats had looked the more likely winners after emerging from their early torpor with keeper Marcus Bettinelli making three saves from new boy Jermain Defoe inside 10 second-half minute to secure a 0-0 fourth round draw.
