All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has fully recovered from a hand injury and is fit for next week’s first Test against Australia in the UAE.

Earlier this month, Hafeez missed the one-off Twenty20 and the three one-day internationals against Australia after injuring his left hand during a practice match at Sharjah.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s doctor Sohail Saleem says Hafeez batted in the nets on Thursday for half an hour and showed no signs of discomfort.

Hafeez required five stitches and was sent back home for recovery at the National Cricket Academy.

The first Test starts in Dubai from next Wednesday, followed by the second Test at Abu Dhabi from October 30.

Australia beat Pakistan in the one-off Twenty20 and whitewashed its opponents 3-0 in the ODI series.
