Al Jazira have been handed a stiff test in facing Saudi Arabian champions Al Shabab in their Asian Champions League group.
Pro League champions Al Ain will face three sides who finished third in their respective leagues last season.
They will meet Iranian side Esteghal, who also won the Hazfi Cup last season, along with Qatari Stars League third place side Al Rayyan and Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal.
Jazira were handed a tough test against Al Shabab, league champions in Saudi Arabia last season and currently third in this season's competition.
Also drawn in their group were newcomers Tractorsazi Tabriz, runners-up in Iran last term, and Stars League runners-up El Jaish.
Al Nasr must overcome Uzbekistan third place side Lokomotiv to qualify for the group stage, while Al Shabab face a challenging trip to Iran to face Sabaye in their play-off match.
If they do, Nasr would face Iran's Foolad, Qatari side Al Gharaf and Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli - this season's Champions League runners-up to Korea's Ulsan Hyundai - while Shabab would be in the final group with Qatari champions Lekhwiya, Ettifaq and Uzbekistan champions Pakhtakor.
In the Eastern section of the draw, FC Seoul have been drawn against Vegalta Sendia, Jiangsu Saint and the winner of the play-off between Brisbane Roar and Buriram United. Chinese double winners Guangzhou Evergrande will face Jeonbuk Hyundai, Thi champions SCG Mugathong and Urawa Red Diamonds.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima will play Beijing Guoan, Korea's Pohang Steelers and Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor, while the final East Zone group sees Australian champions Central Coast Mariners face Gaizho Renhe of China, Korea's Suwong Bluewings and the winner of January's Japanese Emperor's Cup.
Play-off matches take place on February 9 2013, with the group stage getting underway on February 26 and 27.
