Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho hailed Pedro's instant impact after the winger scored on his debut in the 3-2 victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Pedro also set up Diego Costa for Chelsea’s second before Cesar Azpilicueta’s goal and they hung on after John Terry’s second-half dismissal on Sunday.
The Spain star joined Chelsea from Barcelona only last week and Mourinho believes the 28-year-old Spaniard has proved he can handle the Premier League.
He said: “He’s a very good player, there is always a question mark because how many top players come to England and don’t perform immediately.
“People ask if he is the right player, can he adapt?

“We have examples in our club and there are lots of examples in other clubs, it’s very nice for him to perform the way he did.”
Terry was dismissed nine minutes after the break for pulling back Salomon Rondon as his poor start to the season continued.
He kept his place after being substituted at half time in the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City last week. Mourinho said Chelsea are unlikely to appeal.
He said: “Normally, it’s a waste of time for us, I think we should but, normally, it’s a waste of time.
“It’s a ball into the space behind the full-back, the full-back is pressing high, the striker makes the movement and then Mr Clattenburg decides it’s a red card, referring to referee Mark Clattenburg.
“To speak about the sending off I have to speak about many other things in the game. Some things you can see and some things we can see.
“I prefer just to focus on us.”
West Brom’s James Morrison scored twice but also saw Thibaut Courtois save his early penalty with the game still goalless.
Saido Berahino was also left out after the club rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for the striker last week and manager Tony Pulis insisted the England Under 21 forward was not in the right frame of mind to play.
He said: “Why are we talking about Saido? We’re talking about Saido because of the transfer window. Everybody here should be talking about the game and this wouldn’t be an issue. It can be disruptive and has been.
“He is fine, there’s no problems but it’s the transfer window which causes the problems. He needs to be protected, there’s a load of stuff going on in his mind, not just one club but 15 clubs. No one should have this problem.”
