The Dubai World Cup takes place on Saturday at Meydan with a large crowd expected to watch the nine races that will be held.

It is the richest horse racing meeting in the world, with US$35 million (Dh128.5m) at stake.

$12m of that will be at stake in the main event, the Dubai World Cup, with the focus on whether Godolphin's Thunder Snow can become the first horse to win the race twice, having prevailed 12 months ago.
