Harry Kane scored the winner as Tottenham Hotspur beat Sydney FC 1-0 in their football friendly in Sydney on Saturday.
The 21-year-old striker was on target in the 43rd minute to give Spurs the victory before 71,549 fans at Sydney’s Olympic Stadium.
Kane, who scored 21 league goals in the recent English Premier League season where he played in 51 club games, scored both goals in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over a Malaysian select squad in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino kept Kane on the field for 84 minutes before bringing him off to a rousing reception from the appreciative Australian crowd.
Kane missed a couple of chances before he clinically struck two minutes before half-time.
A quick counter by Spurs and Argentine winger Erik Lamela did well to hold up the ball before freeing Kane on the right and he let rip from the edge of the area to beat goalkeeper Ivan Necevski with an angled volley.
Spurs dominated the opening half with Dane Christian Eriksen firing high over the bar in a shooting position.
Lamela, meanwhile, thrilled the big crowd with his trademark “rabona” chip shot at goal where his kicking leg was wrapped around the back of the standing leg.
Sydney’s Alex Brosque was denied by a goal-line clearance by Belgian international Jan Vertonghen after a misplaced pass exposed French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Kane had a goal-bound shot kicked off the line by Sebastian Ryall in the 70th minute as Spurs pressed for the killer goal.
Tottenham’s fifth placing in the EPL ensures they will be playing in next season’s Europa League.

Baked goods - Most cakes, cookies, pie crusts and crackers contain shortening, which is usually made from partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Ready-made frosting is another source of trans fat.
Snacks - Potato, corn and tortilla chips often contain trans fat. And while popcorn can be a healthy snack, many types of packaged or microwave popcorn use trans fat to help cook or flavour the popcorn.
Fried food - Foods that require deep frying — french fries, doughnuts and fried chicken — can contain trans fat from the oil used in the cooking process.
