Girard has no fear of Marseille

Rene Girard, the Montpellier coach, has no intention of changing his team's style for today's trip to Marseille, the defending champions.

Marseille have lost just once in all competitions since the end of September, and will turn out at the Stade Velodrome having secured a place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a 3-0 win at Spartak Moscow in midweek.

Montpellier are also enjoying a purple patch and sit second in Ligue 1, two points and three places better off than Marseille.

"We have a great game ahead of us," Girard said. "Going to the Velodrome is always a special moment and we will prepare accordingly. That said, we have been playing our own way since the start of the season and I'm not going to change that overnight. That would be a big mistake."
