Just when you thought the mocking of Paul Pogba's penalty technique was in the past, the player himself has started up the jokes again - and this time in Dubai.
The Manchester United star, famed for his incredibly slow approach to taking penalties as well as being a World Cup winner with France, posted a video on his Instagram account of him racing a tortoise at a zoo in Dubai.
"Pogba penalty run vs turtle 🐢 ..I’m not THAT slow," he posted as the video shows him trotting past the animal.
Pogba missed a penalty against Everton last month having taken 27 steps to reach the ball. He was backed to continue taking spot-kicks by manager Jose Mourinho but the player admitted he may need to alter his approach.
He posted a video a few days after the miss poking fun at himself as he made his way to his car.
Pogba has sat out the round of international fixtures due to a thigh injury, allowing him to take the opportunity for a warm-weather break in Dubai.
The 25-year-old showed himself dining at the Nusret-Et restaurant at the Four Seasons in Jumeirah where he was given a personal meat cutting session from owner Nusret Gökçe (Salt Bae). He was also pictured meeting with Barcelona's Lionel Messi at the restaurant.
Messi is on a sabbatical from the Argentina national team, so like Pogba was able to enjoy some down time.
He was joined by his family at Dubai Parks and Resorts, where he was spotted at Legoland.
