Al Sadd and Al Wasl trained on Monday ahead of their Group C encounter in the Asian Champions League (ACL) on Tuesday.
The Emirati side finished second in the 2017 Arabian Gulf League to reach the ACL this season.
They made their first appearance in the tournament back in 2008, but were eliminated in the group stage.
"We know the importance of playing in such a big tournament. We are excited that we have some experienced players and I think we'll have a good game. We are well prepared," said an upbeat Caio Correa, the Al Wasl midfielder.
Al Sadd, featuring former Barcelona player Xavi, also return to the ACL after a a two-year hiatus, having missed out on qualification after falling to progress from the play-offs round in both.
