Al Ain will host Malkiya at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium looking to book their place in the 2018 Asian Champions League group stages on Tuesday.

Al Ain, despite finishing fourth in the Arabian Gulf League last season, qualified for the Champions League play-offs after Shabab Al Ahli Dubai's failure to obtain the Asian Football Confederation licence.

The host team finished as runners-up in 2016 after Brazilian striker Douglas missed a penalty.

Swedish international Marcus Berg had scored 11 goals so far this season for Al Ain in the league.

Bahrain's Malkiya won their first trophy last season in their league, reaching the Asian Champions League play-offs for the first time.

The UAE has three sides confirmed in the ACL group stages, which start in February.

Al Wahda are in Group B alongside Al Duhail, while Al Wasl are alongside Al Sadd in Group C. Al Jazira are in Group A.
