Bayern Munich players were put through their paces in training on Tuesday ahead of their Uefa Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

The recently crowned Bundesliga champions face Zinedine Zidane's side at their home at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. Manager Jupp Heynckes and his coaching staff watched on as players including captain Arjen Robben, fellow winger Franck Ribery, Robert Lewandowski, a reported target of Madrid's this summer, defender Mats Hummels and playmaker James Rodriguez went through their final preparations ahead of the last-four clash.

Bayern are attempting to reach their first final since last winning it, under Heynckes' guidance, in 2013.

Real Madrid have won the European Cup/Champions League a record 12 times and are attempting to emulate the great Ajax and Bayern Munich sides of the 1970s by winning it for a third year in a row.
