Toby Alderweireld's winner nine minutes from time gave Tottenham Hotspur bragging rights in Sunday's North London derby in their new stadium.

Arsenal took a 16th-minute lead through a thunderous effort from Alexandre Lacazette but it lasted only three minutes as Son Heung-min pounced on a misplaced pass to chip the ball over Emiliano Martinez.

The match appeared to be heading for a draw until Alderweireld's header claimed all three points for Spurs to move Jose Mourinho's side above Arsenal into eighth place in the Premier League.
