Mohamed Salah meanwhile joined Liverpool from Roma, and should make more of an impact than he did in his first Premier League spell with Chelsea in 2014.
With only a few days left before the start of the English Premier League, expect more transfer movement, with Gylfi Sigurdsson expected to join Everton from Swansea for a fee reported to be in excess of £40m.
Ross Barkley is another set to move after rejecting a new contract to stay at Everton.
