Goalkeeper: David de Gea (Manchester United) – Superb against Spurs. Made more saves (11) in the second half at Wembley than any other keeper has made in a league game this season. Reuters

Centre-back: James Tarkowski (Burnley) – Sean Dyche called the centre-back’s goal-line clearance to deny Luciano Vietto “fantastic”. It earned Burnley a third straight win. Getty Images

Centre-back: Craig Cathcart (Watford) – Got redemption for scoring an own goal against Crystal Palace by equalising as the Hornets went on to win. Reuters

Left-back: Lucas Digne (Everton) – Helped ease the pressure on Marco Silva and earn Everton a much-needed win with the cross for Kurt Zouma’s goal against Bournemouth. Reuters

Centre midfield: Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – Showed his renaissance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a wonderful cross-field pass for Marcus Rashford’s goal against Tottenham. Getty Images

Left midfield: Willian (Chelsea) – A glorious goal against Newcastle indicated why Barcelona wanted to sign him and why Chelsea are keen to keep him. Reuters

Striker: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – Won the penalty at Brighton and converted it with aplomb to get Liverpool back to winning ways after successive defeats. Reuters

Striker: Shane Long (Southampton) – Earned Southampton a spot kick and then scored only his third goal in 68 games for club and country in victory at Leicester. Getty Images

Marcus Rashford may have scored the goal in Manchester United's victory over Tottenham Hotspur but it was David de Gea who did more than most to secure three points at Wembley.

The Spanish goalkeeper made full use of every limb to deny a second-half Spurs onslaught with an incredible 11 saves.

The clean sheet ensured a sixth win from as many games for interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, boosting his own credentials to land the job full time.

Mohamed Salah scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season as Liverpool secured a 1-0 in away at Brighton & Hove Albion to maintain their lead over Manchester City, who play Wolves on Monday, at the top of the table.
