Philippe Coutinho out to secure Brazil's place in quarter-finals - what to look out for on Day 4 of the 2019 Copa America

Brazil got the 2019 Copa America under way on Friday with victory over Bolivia in Sao Paulo.

A brace from Barcelona's Philippe Countinho and a spectacular striker from substitute Everton Soares saw the Copa America hosts run out 3-0 winners at the Morumbi Stadium.

Brazil are back in action on Day 4 when they take on Venezuela in their second match in Group B.

Here's what to look out for. All kick-off times are UAE.

Who is playing on Day 4 of the 2019 Copa America?

There are two matches taking place on Tuesday, though viewers in the UAE will have to pull all-nighters if they want to watch.

Bolivia take on Peru at 1.30am (Wednesday) at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro before Brazil look to cement their place in the last eight with a victory over Venezuela, who played out a stalemate against Peru in their opening game.

Brazil's match takes place at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador at 4.30am.

Who are the players to watch?

Coutinho may not be the darling of the Camp Nou, but he certainly endeared himself to fans of the Selecao by stepping up in the absence of injured talisman Neymar.

His twin strikes against Bolivia took his tally to 16 in 50 Brazil appearances, and bolstered Brazil's hopes of maintaining their outstanding record of winning every Copa America tournament they have hosted.

While the scoreline may have flattered them, Brazil were rarely troubled against Bolivia, and Everton Soares' strike to seal the victory is an early contender for goal of the tournament.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino was preferred in the lone striker's role to Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus and is likely to keep his place for the match against Venezuela.

Hopes of Venezuela pulling off an upset rest largely on the shoulders of Solomon Rondon. The striker spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Newcastle United, scoring 11 goals to help Rafa Benitez's side secure Premier League survival.

Rondon is his country's all-time leading scorer with 24 goals.

Venezuela's best finish at the Copa America is third at the 2011 tournament.
