"I'm very happy to be here. AS Monaco is a big club that played in the semi-finals of the Champions League and won the French title last season. There are some great players on this team," Jovetic, 27, told Monaco's website.

Jovetic is expected to fill a void soon to be left by French striker Mbappe, who is on the verge of sealing a move to rivals PSG which is reported to be an initial one-year loan deal with a permanent deal in place for next summer thought to be worth €180 million (Dh795m).

Jovetic becomes the ninth signing of the summer for Monaco, who have also recruited the likes of midfielders Youri Tielemans and Soualiho Meite and defender Terence Kongolo.
