Manuel Pellegrini has said Sergio Aguero is still to reach his peak form after the Argentinian scored twice to inspire Manchester City to a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Aguero, who has suffered from hamstring and heel injuries this season, played for the sixth time since his December return and manager Pellegrini feels he can be even better.
“I saw Kun [Aguero] in the last game and maybe he didn’t score because [Everton goalkeeper Tim] Howard made two good saves but he is making all the movements he does when he is 100 per cent fit so he will continue improving,” he said.

Pellegrini also justified his decision to rest midfielder Yaya Toure, with the Ivorian named among the substitutes.
“He started on the bench because he played a good game against Everton but, he has less than 72 hours to recover so I thought he will not be able to play the complete game with high pace,” he said.
“If for different reasons we could not score I thought we would have Yaya fresh for the last 30 minutes. That is why I am so happy to win making five changes.”
City, whose other goals came from Fabian Delph and David Silva, will assess Aleksandar Kolarov on Monday after the left-back was stretchered off.
“Aleks has an important kick in his calf,” Pellegrini said. “We will see if it is an injury or just a kick.”
