Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists Premier League title race not over yet

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said the Premier League title race is not over yet despite the Reds securing a 16-point lead following their 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Jordan Henderson gave Liverpool the lead in the eighth minute from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner. But the Wolves hit back in the 51st when Raul Jimenez hit the target with a powerful header from Adama Traore's cross.

Both sides wasted numerous chances before Roberto Firmino found the back of the net in the 84th minute to give Liverpool their 14th successive league win.

"I don't think about winning the title. I just think about winning the next matches ... let's carry on," Klopp said.

"It's over when it's over, not before," added Klopp after Liverpool's 22nd victory in 23 league games this season.

Klopp, however, was unhappy with the number of chances Liverpool missed as Mohamed Salah had a rare off day.

"The chances we had were incredible. We were at least four or five times in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, so if we score then it is game over," he added.

"It was a super, super, super goal from Bobby (Firmino). I'm really, really pleased as you can imagine."

Klopp also praised Henderson's early goal and his progress as captain.

"I'm not sure since when Hendo is involved in offensive set-pieces, usually for most of the time he was protection, so now we have found a way to involve him as well, and that he scores that goal is obviously incredible," added Klopp.

"He played an unbelievable game again tonight ... he keeps everyone on their toes... we couldn't be in this situation without these sorts of characters."
