A busy weekend of Premier League was highlighted by Manchester City retaking top spot.

Their 1-0 win at Bournemouth moved them ahead of Liverpool on Saturday and they stayed there after their Merseyside club could only draw at Everton on Sunday.

The North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal ended 1-1, while Romelu Lukaku scored twice as Manchester United remained unbeaten domestically under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they beat Southampton 3-2.

There were also wins for Wolverhampton Wanders and Cardiff City respectively.

It was not a good time for the sides at the bottom as Cardiff City, Fulham and Huddersfield Town were all beaten.

Brendan Rodgers had a tough return to England's top flight as he lost his first game as Leicester City manager at Watford.
