Chelsea v Manchester United: Which players earn the most money ahead of Stamford Bridge showdown - in pictures

  • Arabic

Chelsea host Manchester United on Monday in a match that is critical to both clubs in their quest for a place in next season's Champions League.

Frank Lampard's Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United ninth, but only six points separate them in the race for European qualification.

Chelsea’s hold on fourth place may be precarious but at least they have spent much of the season there. United, five places behind them, are playing catch-up, and it could be a cracking match at Stamford Bridge.

It appears, however, that Manchester United players do have the upper hand in one area - the salaries.

According to figures from Spotrac.com, an online sports team and player contract website, United have the top six earners if the squads are compared.

Above is a photo gallery of the highest earning 11 players from Chelsea and Manchester United and their weekly take home pay. It might some extra bite to the action at the Bridge.
