Following the latest round of Premier League matches, Richard Jolly picks his team of the week.
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)
Did not have anything spectacular to do but made fine saves from Hull City’s Harry Maguire, David Meyler and Oumar Niasse.
Right-back: Seamus Coleman (Everton)
The prolific right-back popped up with a late, and well-taken, winner at Crystal Palace to cement Everton’s hold on seventh place.
Centre-back: Harry Maguire (Hull City)
Defended well and surged forward impressively time and again. He looks bound for better things, even if Hull go down.
Centre-back: Michael Keane (Burnley)
Enhanced his already high reputation with a defiant display against Arsenal as he helped end Olivier Giroud’s goalscoring run.
Left-back: Chris Brunt (West Bromwich Albion)
A wonderfully crisp strike showed what a fine technician he is and got West Brom their second goal in the win over Sunderland.
Right midfield: James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)
Broke the deadlock against Leicester City with an astute finish and the set-piece specialist set up Jay Rodriguez for the second.
Centre midfield: Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)
Ended his Premier League goal drought, created a host of chances and was the best player on the pitch against Tottenham Hotspur.
Centre midfield: Tom Carroll (Swansea City)
What a debut. Signed from Tottenham, Carroll was involved in all three Swansea goals at Anfield and excelled with classy passing.
Left midfield: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
If only for his cheeky Panenka of a penalty, chipping in a 98th-minute winner against Burnley to take Arsenal second.
Striker: Fernando Llorente (Swansea City)
Set up the shock result of the season with a quick-fire double against Liverpool. The Spaniard showed his aerial power and finishing prowess.
Striker: Andy Carroll (West Ham United)
Doing his best to ensure West Ham don’t miss Dimitri Payet with a brilliant goal last week and a decisive double at Middlesbrough this.
