Inter Milan look set to continue their raid on the Premier League after "reaching an agreement" with Chelsea over the loan signing of Victor Moses, while Olivier Giroud remains a "possibility".

Inter - second in the Serie A table, four points behind Juventus - have already completed the signing of Ashley Young from Manchester United this month. The veteran English defender has reunited with former Old Trafford teammates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who moved to the San Siro in the summer for €65 million (Dh265m) and a season-long loan respectively.

Now Inter have turned their attentions to a pair of out-of-favour Chelsea players, one of whom was a key part of Inter manager Antonio Conte's setup during his Premier League title-winning season at Stamford Bridge.

Moses was a near permanent fixture in the right wing-back role during Conte's two seasons at Chelsea, helping the Italian win a league title in 2017 and FA Cup in 2018.

"We've reached an agreement with Chelsea for Victor Moses," Inter sports director Piero Ausilio said.

Moses arrived in Milan on a private jet on Monday night and will undergo a medical ahead of the move. The 29-year-old Nigeria international has cut short his loan with Turkish club Fenerbahce to join Inter.

While the initial agreement is a loan for the remainder of the season, it has been reported that the deal could be made permanent in the summer for £8.5 million (Dh40.6m).

Moses could soon be joined by Chelsea teammate Giroud, with the French World Cup-winning striker destined to leave the Europa League winners this month.

Giroud has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, and a move to the San Siro will be contingent on Inter making space in the squad.

"Olivier Giroud is a possibility if we sell a striker," Ausilio said.
