Eid Baroot, the former Emirates club coach, has been tasked with keeping Fujairah in the Arabian Gulf League.

The Emirati was on Monday appointed until the end of the campaign as successor to Ivan Hasek, the Czech manager dismissed last week with the club second bottom in the table.

Baroot, who has previously acted as caretaker coach at Al Nasr, Al Wasl and Al Dhafra and last season guided Al Shaab to promotion, has five games to ensure Fujairah’s survival.

Currently, the club are three points from safety.
