Watford have announced the signing of midfielder Etienne Capoue from Tottenham Hotspur for a club-record fee.
The 26-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Premier League new boys, and is now set to join up with Watford for pre-season training.
Capoue made 24 league appearances for Spurs after arriving at White Hart Lane in 2013 from French side Toulouse.
“Hello, Watford fans, I’m very happy to join the club, now I’m on it,” Capoue said in a Vine message the club posted to Twitter.
Watford finished second in the Championship last season, and will be back in the Premier League for the first time since 2006/07.

He scored one league goal for Tottenham, in 2013/14, and one assist in the Europa League last season.
On their website, Watford saidthey were “delighted to announce” the signing “for a clubrecord transfer fee” without elaborating.
The previous record was Nathan Ellington for £3.25 million (Dh18.6m) in August 2007.
