Dallas Cowboys travel to New York Giants and the five best NFL games of the week

Probably the most important game of Week 14 already happened on Thursday, when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders to take first place in the AFC West. But there is still a lot of play-off positioning to determine this week. All times UAE.

Houston Texans (6-6) at Indianapolis Colts (6-6), Sunday 10pm

Aesthetically, there will likely be more pleasing games to watch this weekend, but someone has to win the putrid AFC South. This game between two of the three teams tied at 6-6 (along with the Tennessee Titans, who host the Denver Broncos) will go a long way to determine who makes the play-offs out of the division.

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) at Buffalo Bills (6-6), Sunday 10pm

Right now, both of these teams are on the outside looking in of the AFC Wild Card race. Pittsburgh are trying to keep up with Baltimore in the North, and the Bills have to essentially win out to have a shot. This could be an early elimination game.

New Orleans Saints (5-7) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5), Monday 1.25am

Four straight wins by the Bucs have seen them surge to a tie for first in the NFC South with Atlanta. Two of their next three games will be against division foes New Orleans, who still have an outside shot if they can sweep the rest of their games.

Dallas Cowboys (11-1) at New York Giants (8-4), Monday 5.30am

The Cowboys have been the story of the NFL year thanks to 11 straight wins since their opening-week loss. That was to the Giants, who can keep their outside NFC East hopes alive with a second win over star rookies Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and the NFL’s top team.

Baltimore Ravens (7-5) at New England Patriots (10-2), Tuesday 5.30am

One of the better Monday Night Football matches of the season (though it’s of course early Tuesday morning to UAE fans). The Ravens currently have the NFL’s top defence based on yards allowed per game. They will be tested against a New England offence that ranks fifth, but is without top weapon Rob Gronkowski for the rest of the season.
