Abu Dhabi will host five matches of the upcoming Pakistan v Sri Lanka series, including the opening Test match starting September 28.
As well as the first of the two-Test series, Zayed Cricket Stadium will also host the second and third one-day internationals on Ocotber 16 and 18 as well as the first and second of three Twenty20 matches on October 26 and 27.
“We are thrilled the Pakistan Cricket Board has chosen Abu Dhabi to host international competition of this calibre,” said Aref Al Awani, general secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board said: “We are pleased to play in Abu Dhabi and expect that this arrangement will be mutually beneficial for future tours as well."

“We are particularly pleased to be hosting all three formats of the game and to have been selected for the marquee Twenty20 ‘double-header’ on 26th and 27th October, where we expect to see a packed-out capacity crowd.”
The PCB hopes to host the last Twenty20 in Lahore, depending on whether a three-match series against a World XI team next week passes off without incident.
