Goalkeeper: Darren Randolph (West Ham United)

A triple save was the highlight of a fine show of defiance as an understudy kept a clean sheet at Anfield.

Right-back: Jack Grimmer (Shrewsbury Town)

The on-loan Fulham man popped up in the Sheffield Wednesday box in the 97th minute to secure the shock of the round.

Centre-back: Sebastian Prodl (Watford)

Has lost his place in the league team but helped Watford keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on his recall.

Centre-back: Scott Dann (Crystal Palace)

Shut out Stoke as Palace put their poor league form to one side to eliminate Stoke, thanks to a display of solidity at the back.

Left-back: Jordan Obita (Reading)

Played his part in a dominant display as Reading beat Walsall 4-0 to advance to the last 16 of the FA Cup.

Right midfield: Nacer Chadli (Tottenham Hotspur)

Scored two goals and made another as Tottenham swept Colchester aside. Chadli now has four goals in three games.

Centre midfield: Ross Barkley (Everton)

Capped a convincing display with a long-range strike to see off Carlisle. The League Two club’s fans also applauded him off.

Centre midfield: Oscar (Chelsea)

First-half hat-tricks are rarities, still more so when a player has never scored a treble for his club. Oscar managed both at MK Dons.

Left midfield: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Marked his first start since November by setting up Calum Chambers’ goal and then scoring himself against Burnley.

Striker: Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)

Took the opportunity of a rare start to illustrate what he can do with a brace against Peterborough.

Striker: Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City)

Staked his case to play more often with a hat-trick that demonstrated his coolness in front of goal.
