The team of Hussain Al Suwaidi and Shaker Al Hassan won the UAE's first medal of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games when they took bronze in the men's doubles bowling. On Day 4 of competition in Incheon, South Korea, the UAE pair finished third in the first qualifying group. They saw off South Korea's Cho Young-seon and Kim Jun-yung 443-362 in the quarter-finals to reach the semis, where they were beaten by another South Korean team - Park Jong-woo and Shin Seung-hyeon - 441-433. The Koreans beat a Japanese team in the final while the UAE, along with their fellow beaten semi-finalists from Singapore, had to settle for a bronze medal. The UAE's other doubles duo, Hareb Al Mansoori and Nayef Eqab, failed to progress from their qualifying group.
