Al Nasr have announced the signing of midfielder Luis Jimenez from Al Ahli on a two-year deal.

Jimenez, 31, will undergo a medical with the President’s Cup winners, before officially completing the move, which is expected by the end of next week.

“Al Nasr Club announce the signing of Luis Jimenez on a two-year deal,” the club announced on its official Twitter account.

“The player will begin his medical process on Saturday, July 4. The process will be completed on July 9.”

Jimenez, a Chilean-Palestinian, will take the slot of Nasr’s Asian player, and joins Roma midfielder Marquinho as part of the club’s new-look foreign quartet.

Jimenez arrives at the Maktoum Stadium with a wealth of Arabian Gulf League experience, having spent four seasons at Al Ahli.

During his time at Ahli, Jimenez won the Arabian Gulf League and Arabian Cup double in 2013/14 and the President’s Cup in 2013.

Prior to his move to the UAE, Jimenez spent the majority of his career in Italy, with Ternana, Fiorentina, Lazio, Inter Milan, and Parma.
