Adidas release latest range of boots to be worn by Pogba, Ozil and Suarez this summer

Adidas, along with some of their most high-profile footballers, have unveiled the latest range of football boots that will be on show at the European Championship and Copa America Centenario this summer.

Presented as the Mercury Pack and consisting of two different styles — the ACE 16+ PURECONTROL and the X16+ PURECHAOS — the likes of Barcelona and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, and Arsenal and Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil will be just three of the players who will be wearing the latest boots.

Unsurprisingly, given their roles as midfielders, Pogba and Ozil will be leading France and Germany’s Euro 2016 campaigns in the ACE 16+ PURECONTROL boots.

“I always aim to be a leader, by being the first in everything I do on and off the pitch,” Pogba said. “From being the first to try new skills to the first to showcase a fresh new style, being first is what inspires me and drives me to create moments that everyone remembers.”

Meanwhile Suarez, Europe’s leading goalscorer this season, will adorn the X16+ PURECHAOS for Uruguay’s tilt at the Copa America title.

“Being first is all that matters in football and this is what inspires me every day, in training, during moments of focus and when I take to the pitch,” the Uruguay forward said. “Creating the moments that people remember you for is what drives players and to achieve that, you have to show huge levels of commitment and fight.”

As well as the latest ACE16+ and X16+ boots, a third will also be unveiled, the MESSI 16+ PUREAGILITY, designed for and worn exclusively by Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi at the Copa America.
