While some fall head-over-heels for Alessandro Michele's Gucci gowns, others aren't so keen on the frou frou and heavy appliqué work. But, love them or hate them, there's no denying that Gucci gowns as of late make stunning showpieces, both for the runway and fashion shoots.

Our November fashion editorial for Luxury magazine was shot at The Green Planet, Dubai's new indoor rainforest. Surrounded by lush greenery, it seemed only natural to incorporate some nature-inspired Gucci splendour, like this gown featuring a pair of oversized, bedazzled peacocks on the bust. With its velvet accents, exaggerated blouson sleeves and colourful, flouncy tiers, we placed the dress on a rickety rope bridge inside The Green Planet. As the model took her steps along the bridge, the ruffled layers flew up in the air, capturing the beautiful movement of the design.
