It has been reported that Madonna and Live Nation are being sued by a fan, who was annoyed when she pushed back her Miami concert by two hours. Reuters

I write to you in reference to your article The Great Debate: should artists be held accountable for being late to concerts? (November 14): I was at the Madonna concert in Abu Dhabi and I have never forgiven her for being so late on stage. Apparently she delayed the show citing it was too hot. Then don't come here in the month of May!

I disagree with Saeed Saeed in the article. Wilful lateness is disrespect. End of discussion. And it doesn’t matter if concerts are complicated to set up. There are plenty of bands who are bang on time every time. Talking of which, I cannot wait to see Iron Maiden next year.

Lebanon needs young and inspired leaders to get it back on track

I write to you in reference to your editorial Lebanon's new leaders must reflect the concerns of a young generation (November 16): for far too long the people of Lebanon have been subjected to the same old politics of divide and rule. But now they have come together and demanded change with one voice. The result of consecutive days of demonstrations has been the resignation of top government officials. The challenge for the next leadership team, whenever it is ready to take over, will be to get the country's economy back on track. In the short term, people need young and inspired administrators to deliver to them good governance. The question in the long run is whether Lebanon can be returned to its original place in the world – as a link between the East and the West. This should no doubt be a vision of the next generation of leaders.

Police must investigate how drugs made their way into the country

I write to you in reference to your video Watch: Abu Dhabi police seize 450kg of heroin and crystal meth (November 16): great job by the police. However, it is worth asking how someone could manage to bring these drugs into the country. I genuinely hope the police figure this out. The security of the nation and the decent communities living here are a top priority.
