I write regarding your ­article Indonesian Lion Air crash black box voice recorder found (­January 14).

Two months after this tragic event, the authorities have finally found this device. This a good development in a very sad story. Now the families of the victims will be able to have some hope of finding out exactly what caused the death of their loved ones.

I hope that the authorities will investigate and find out the truth, and that this will provide some small amount of relief to grieving relatives.

The highly competitive world of celebrity fashion

I am writing after reading your article Is Rami Malek dethroning Timothee Chalamet as Hollywood's best-dressed man? (January 13). There is absolutely no way Rami Malek is dressing better than Timothee Chalamet. First of all, Chalamet does his own styling, while Malek has a stylist. Every picture you posted of Malek looks way too similar. Besides their age difference, the most important thing is that Malek does not have the  "It" factor. Chalamet does. Rami is good. Timothee is ­beyond great.

The world must act to help the people of Rukban

I write in reference to your heartbreaking story Syrian woman sets herself and children on fire in Rukban camp (January 14). How tragic this tale is. What could have driven this poor woman to act in this way? How long are people going to suffer in camps like Rukban, at the mercy of the whims and fancies of dangerous, errant politicians. It is time for the world to think about the fate of these people, and act. This is a matter that should shock the whole world, and spark serious action.

Lebanon’s winter makes life even bleaker for refugees

I refer to your video piece Harsh winter conditions in Lebanon add to the woes of hundreds of Syrian refugees in the country (January 13). Troubles, when they come, don’t usually come alone, but often have an equally powerful partner with them. This is the case with refugees driven from their homes, forced to settle in Lebanon, where they are at the mercy of violent weather. I pray for their safety.
