President Sheikh Mohamed meets Hungary’s Viktor Orban in Abu Dhabi

President Sheikh Mohamed on Wednesday hosted Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting at Al Shati Palace, the two men discussed how to develop bilateral relations and enhance co-operation, particularly in the economic, trade, investment and development fields, state news agency Wam reported.

“Today in Abu Dhabi I met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to explore ways to further strengthen our bilateral ties and enhance collaboration in AI, renewable energy, and other key areas,” Sheikh Mohamed wrote on X. “The UAE is committed to building long-term partnerships that promote shared economic growth and support global peace and stability.”

Sheikh Mohamed also highlighted the role played by the UAE-Hungary Joint Economic Committee and the Political Consultations Committee in enhancing relations and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to expand co-operation across various sectors.

Mr Orban, who is on an official visit to the UAE, thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his warm welcome, stressing the common interest in continuing to develop relations between the two countries.

The two men also witnessed the announcement of agreements in a number of fields including education, investment and renewable-energy development. These were exchanged by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
