The donkey cart is a reliable, but slow, means of transport for children who cannot afford the bus.
Children are taken to school in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
Donkey cart driver Loay Abu Sahloul has said he provides a social service.
He charges five shekels ($1.30) a month for each child to take his cart to school.
It costs about 40 shekels a month to take a school bus.
Gaza's streets are crowded, potholed and polluted.
Children are exposed to the elements during the cart ride and there is a risk they will fall off.
