Crank's 20 in 30 challenge
If you take part in 20 sessions at spin and shape studio, Crank, during the 30 days of Ramadan, the Alserkal Avenue gym will give you five sessions back. The deal includes spin classes, high-intensity shape sessions and more static stretch work-outs. There is a range of sessions available, from Dh120 individual classes, to the Dh2,500, 60-day membership. Plus, the studio has just welcomed Halah to its ride teaching roster, who they say is Dubai's first female Saudi spin instructor. Her first session is at 9.30pm on May 7 (mixed), followed by 10.30pm on May 8 and 11 (ladies only).

F45 eight week challenge
Running over Ramadan, the F45 eight week challenge started on April 29 and is running until June 23, but you can still register online. Expect daily meal plans, weekly blogs and videos and plenty of 45-minute-long workouts. You need to join the gym to take part in the challenge. Newbies get two weeks for free, and it costs Dh2,200 for the eight-week membership. F45 is located at Dubai Marina, Motor City and Jumeirah Beach and at Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City.

Fitness Bootcamp DXB's Dubai For Ramadan Challenge
A transformation challenge which is taking part under the tutelage of coach Mostafa Mersal. The programme includes high-intensity bodyweight and weight lifting workouts, as well as cardio exercises. The focus of the challenge relies on both the biggest drop of fat percentage, in-addition to the biggest gain of muscle mass. There will be two winners in the challenge, which you can join online. Indoor and outdoor sessions take place at various times and locations around Dubai, including Kite Beach, Iconic Fitness (Dubai Marina) and Train Al Quoz. Full schedule is available online.

Flywheel's guest coach
For two weeks during Ramadan, Flywheel Dubai is welcoming guest instructor, Alicia Miller, to its spin studios. Miller is flying in from Seattle to run classes at both the Burj Views and Gold and Diamond Park studios. Classes run from May 7. Classes from Dh120 for individual classes, Dh550 (five classes), Dh1,050 (10 classes), Dh2,000 (20 classes).

Get Fit Chick Ramadan Offer
For the holy month, join Get Fit Chick, women's only workouts, to receive a complimentary diet plan designed for women who are fasting. The plan usually costs Dh500. The offer is valid until May 10 and available on one-, three- and six-month membership packages. The women-run programme is known for being responsible for incredible before and after body and fitness transformations, and will run sessions throughout Ramadan at 5pm, 7.15pm, 9.30pm, 10.30pm, Sun-Thu and 5pm, 9.30pm Sat, in Al Quoz Dubai. Drop in sessions cost Dh115, and a variety of packages are available, including one-month memberships (Dh1,417), three-month memberships (Dh3,780) and six class packs (Dh630). The studio is also giving back this holy month, using five per cent of all profit during this time to help 'Classic Catering' provide thousands of labourers with iftar, suhoor and snack boxes - they are aiming to feed 100,000 people with this effort.
