March 27 to April 2

Bill Meridian looks at what the stars have in store for you this week.

What are the prospects for Britain's prime minister Gordon Brown? After trailing badly in the polls he has been making a comeback recently. Brown was born with the Sun, Venus, Mars and Jupiter in the sign of Pisces. In January, Jupiter entered Pisces for a one-year stay. The planet is known in astrology as The Greater Benefic and one may err but suffer no consequence when it is strong in the horoscope. Thus, 2010 will be a much better year for him. But there is a pair of planetary warning signs. First, he is advised to exercise care in his dealings with women because his intentions can easily be misinterpreted. More importantly, he should walk a fine line while making financial decisions because he is playing with fire, especially in late June. We shall track his progress in the months to come. With little new activity in the coming week, we will look at how we can make good use of our time in later years.

ARIES (March 20-April 18) You were born with great confidence and the word "wait" does not apply to you. Teaching your skills to young people would suit Aries. You also like sport, so coaching would be a good option. TAURUS (April 19-May 19) The absence of pressure is welcome in later years. You can enjoy music, the arts or gardening. You may get involved in a part-time business because you are practical and money-oriented.

GEMINI (May 20-June 19) With your natural enthusiasm and curiosity, Gemini is quite a youthful sign. You are a great conversationalist and dislike being alone, so reading groups are ideal. You would also make an excellent spokesman for any group or cause. CANCER (June 20-July 21) Cancer is the sign of the home, and that is where you prefer to spend your time. Children are also very important. Collecting or trading items of interest would make an ideal part-time career.

LEO (July 22-Aug 21) In later years, you can aim to create your own part-time business or project. You have the leadership ability and the creative thinking to be the boss. Entertainment and sports are areas to look into. VIRGO (Aug 22-Sept 21) Virgo enjoys solitude so may be drawn to study. You are talented at detailed work, so you may enjoy handicrafts. Scientific interests attract you to part-time work in the health or nutrition sectors.

LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 22) This is the most social sign of the zodiac. You can also be a great host for any group or function so you have a talent for public relations. One thing is certain: Librans need harmonious surroundings. SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 20) You thrive on work and involvement with others. Any chosen activity must fulfil these needs. Suitable fields are community projects, especially related to children or the disadvantaged.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 21-Dec 22) Future plans should take mobility into account. You are the ideal person to book flights and make travel plans. This is also the sign of higher education, so seek to expand your knowledge. CAPRICORN (Dec 23-Jan 19) Your ability to manage affairs mellows with age and you can be more selective in directing your energies. The community could benefit from your input, especially in political or financial areas.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18) You are independent and have diverse interests so you may seek to expand your education. In selecting your friendships, you prefer open-minded people from a range of cultures. PISCES (Feb 19-March 19) Emotional involvement and creative expression are important to you. You like to focus on others, so working behind the scenes in hospitals or in homes for the less fortunate would be ideal.
