Dance performances at a regular sangeet party are put on by the family and friends of the bride and groom. They are typically roughly choreographed affairs, with the two parties often trying to one-up each other. When you're Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, however, you can just get some of the world's biggest celebrities to perform for you instead.

The couple's pre-wedding sangeet celebration at the palatial Oberoi Udaivilas hotel saw Bollywood's most prominent stars get up on stage. Shah Rukh Khan, who danced with his wife, Gauri, apparently even got Hillary Clinton to shake a leg. The actor, dressed in an all-black bandhgala sherwani, grooved to the song Dilli Walli Girlfriend.

While the footage is shaky at best, SRK began his performance by planting a kiss on Gauri's cheek

Elsewhere, the normally reticent Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, too, was roped in to dance with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, on a song from the couple's 2007 film Guru, which was based on Ambani's grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani.

As for Queen Bey, she took to Instagram to share the two outfits she donned for the party - a red outfit  with a thigh-high slit and ethnic mirrorwork, by designers of the moment Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Her jewellery was fitting of a traditional Indian bride, with the singer saying how much she loves the colours, traditions and hospitality of an Indian wedding.

The singer also shared a boomerang video of her performance, for which she wore a shimmery gold dress and shoes to match.

Even Karan Johar unleashed his inner dancer.

And while Ranveer Singh may not have been part of the "official" performance line-up, he seems to be having the best time of all.
