Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is set on a 17-hectare coconut plantation near the town of Tangalle on the country's south coast, a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Colombo airport and 80 minutes from Mattala airport, which is served by FlyDubai. The resort can also be reached by a 30-minute air transfer with Cinnamon Air from Colombo to Dickwella, 10 minutes away. The hotel has 152 rooms and pool villas and a large spa. Rotana announces big global plans
The UAE-based Rotana Hotel Management has announced the opening of 14 new hotels in the next 12 months. The first is the Dalga Residences in Istanbul, which from this month will offer 138 rooms and suites geared to long-stay travellers. This property is in Dragos, a coastal area on the Asian side of the city. The company already has two other hotels in Istanbul and a fourth, also on the Asian side, will follow next year, along with new hotels in Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
