Singapore gets second InterContinental hotel

Travellers to Singapore can now check into the new InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay next to the Singapore River. The new-build hotel has 225 rooms, a 24-hour gym and several restaurants. Rooms cost from US$347 (Dh1,275) per night, including taxes.

New hotel apartments in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City

Sherwood Suites, a new 20-storey block of hotel apartments in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, has opened with 157 studio and one- and two-bed suites between 57 and 118 square metres in size. Rooms have fully equipped kitchens and there is a 24-hour gym, a restaurant and outdoor pool. There is an opening offer of 2.5 million Vietnamese dong (Dh404) per night, including taxes.

New Avani for Hua Hin, Thailand

The southern Thai beach resort of Hua Hin now has an Avani hotel. Opening on Monday, the Avani Hua Hin Resort & Villas has 196 rooms, two restaurants, a large spa with hammam, a gym, kids' club, several swimming pools, a jazz club and a ballroom. Until December 22, the hotel is offering up to 50 per cent off, with rooms from Dh343 per night, including breakfast.

The Murray in Hong Kong to open on January 15

Hong Kong's newest luxury hotel, The Murray, is taking bookings for its opening on January 15. The 25-storey, 336-room hotel on Cotton Tree Drive has five restaurants, including the Aviary on the rooftop, and a spa and gym. The hotel is housed in the 1969 Murray Building, which has been renovated and redesigned by Foster & Partners. Rooms cost from 4,400 Hong Kong dollars (Dh2,070) per night, including taxes.
