JW Marriott brings five-star luxury to Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Visitors to the southern Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc in the Gulf of Thailand can now check into five-star luxury at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. The hotel, on the island's southern tip, has 244 rooms and suites, a pool, fitness centre, several restaurants and spa. Rooms cost from Vnd8.7m (Dh1,416) per night including taxes.

Canggu spirit comes to Bali with Como Uma Resort

In the Indonesian island of Bali, Como Hotels & Resorts is opening a luxury resort in the fashionable enclave of Canggu on the south coast. The Como Uma Canggu has 52 rooms and suites, 55 one- and two-bedroom residences and 12 three-bedroom penthouses, along with a large spa and wellness centre and a choice of restaurants. Bookings are available from February 15 and rooms cost from $242 (Dh890) per night including taxes.

Kolkata gets its first luxury boutique hotel

Newly opened in the former capital of the British Raj, The Penthouse, a nine-suite historic boutique hotel, has been opened by the company behind Glenburn Tea Estate. Interiors blend luxury with original features; some rooms have their own garden terraces and outdoor Jacuzzis and a rooftop terrace with a pool and restaurant, overlooking the Victoria Memorial. The property has original features and luxurious interiors and includes a spa and restaurant. Rooms cost from Inr25,600 (Dh1,500) per night including taxes.

Radisson opens its first hotel in Indian Kashmir

Travellers to Srinagar in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir can now check in to the Radisson Srinagar in the city centre. The hotel has 88 rooms, three restaurants and a spa. Rooms cost from Dh350 per night including taxes.
