Etihad to increase seasonal flights to Alexandria and Salalah

Etihad Airways has announced it will increase operations along its popular seasonal routes from Abu Dhabi to Egypt's Alexandria and Salalah in Oman, following the success of the routes in 2019.

The period of operation has been extended by three weeks, from June 25 to September 15, 2020. Customers can expect a new weekly service introduced for both routes on Fridays, complementing existing departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.

With the addition of these flights, the airline will be operating 33 flights per week to Egypt (28 to Cairo and five to Alexandria). The airline will also have 26 flights per week to Oman (with 21 weekly flights to Muscat and five to Salalah).

The flights will now run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Alexandria flights will depart  from Abu Dhabi at 1.55pm and land in Alexandria at 3.40pm. A return flight will be available from Alexandria at 4.35pm, landing in Abu Dhabi at 10.25pm.

Meanwhile, the Salalah flight will depart from Abu Dhabi at 8.15am and reach Salalah at 10am. The return flight will leave from Salalah at 10.55am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 12.40pm.
