The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is ready to reopen on Friday after a five-month closure for refurbishment. "After a summer break and a full refurbishment, Jumeirah Beach Hotel reopens on October 19, 2018," it confirmed in a statement. The hotel, one of the best-known features of the Dubai skyline, has undergone a major overhaul inspired by the hotel's seafront location. Jumeirah said the result is "a space that is contemporary and yet warm, with white, gold and blue accents throughout sharing a seamless connection with nature". Guests will arrive into a lighter and more airy lobby atrium, "above which hang three kinetic art installations, recreating the movements of underwater flora, the glistening of light on water, and the glow of the sun". There's a mix of old and new dining concepts with favourites such as D&A, La Parilla and Uptown Bar, as well as Villa Beach, Beachcombers and Ocean Blue making a return. A new kids club is being introduced, inspired by the underwater world, while all guests will continue to have unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark, which remained open during the work. "For our returning guests, it is still the much loved hotel that has been a familiar home away from home, but it has been completely re-energised," said Todd Cilano, senior vice president and general manager of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. All guests who had booked stays at the hotel during the renovation were offered stays at one of the beachfront properties within Madinat Jumeirah. The hotel opened in 1997 and was the first of Jumeirah's properties. ______________ Read more: Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Hotel to close in two months' time for renovation Farewell to the Ramada Dubai
